Fulshear is a city in west Houston, Texas. It has a population of just over 22,000 people and covers about 12 square miles. Recently it has seen an influx of new development that includes several sports stadiums and shopping malls. The Fulshear community is also known for its good schools, which are rated at the top 10% in the state of Texas.

It has an excellent school system with many amenities, such as the West University Library and the Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital. The most recent development was the opening of a new sports stadium in April 2018. There are also plenty of shopping malls like Willowbrook Mall and Royal Oaks Shopping Center, where you can find anything from shoes to electronics to groceries.



Art has always been an integral part of human culture, and Fulshear is no exception. In 2011 the FAC was created to encourage art in this area by hosting showcases for local artists' work as well as providing classes on how they can be displayed more publicly.


Arts Fulshear now offers three types: adult studio slots where you learn techniques such as canvas or acrylic painting; children's programs which include arts & crafts taught through various disciplines (like theatrical performance); theater classes explicitly designed with kids ages 3-6 years old.

In 2013 ARTFUL SHEDS added even MORE Entertainment opportunities like Dance parties complete preschooler Art Time.


Huggins Elementary School in Fulshear is named after John Huggins, who won world fame by training the first horse to win England's Derby. Leaman Junior High, located outside of Unincorporated Fort Bend County, has a school mascot and colors inspired by Dean Leaman - the owner of Allied Concrete Company. Their high school also honors Churchill Fulshears Jr., one its founders with whom they share history made possible through their investments into education!


Some of the biggest attractions in Fulshear include a sports complex specifically for soccer and track. There is also an amphitheater with seating for over 20,000 spectators, which hosts several different concerts throughout the year.
